Complimentary internet and Wi-Fi access is available on board throughout all Crystal ships. Crystal encourages you to bring your own device/s with you to use during your voyage. Once on board, please connect to Crystal’s complimentary Wi-Fi. Certain applications (apps) available on personal phones and other devices are satellite dependent and thus subject to interrupted availability. All onboard internet traffic travels from the ship to a satellite before returning back to earth to load web pages. While onboard there is no local high-speed internet provider as you would have at home, so intermittent delays and interruptions may occur.

Twice daily housekeeping including evening turndown service.

    Medical Services
Crystal Cruises itineraries sail with a professional medical staff on board to provide basic medical service/assistance; certain medications may also be available onboard for purchase at reasonable costs.

Crystal River Cruises and Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises do not have medical facilities or medical staff onboard. However, medical service/s can be easily contacted from local shoreside facilities, if required. All medical services rendered are independently provided and are the guest’s responsibility.

    Guidelines

Evening Dress Code while on Board
Crystal Cruises has updated and simplified the preferred Evening Dress Codes to two types: Crystal Casual and Black Tie Optional to be more in line with the continually evolving, more relaxed dress codes reflected throughout the world today. Please refer to the new and updated dress codes described in detail below. After 6 pm, casual daytime attire is not appropriate. Shorts and baseball caps are not permitted for men or women. If you choose to change your attire following the evening dinner and other festivities, please maintain a minimum style of dress in keeping with the dress code described below in Crystal Casual.

  • Crystal Casual: For women, Crystal Casual attire includes a dress, or a blouse or sweater and skirt or dressy slacks. Men’s Crystal Casual attire can include a sport coat, dress shirt, buttondown shirt, open-collar or collared polo shirt and dress pants or European smart trousers (No tie required).
  • Black Tie Optional: A Black-tie Optional evening offers our guests a celebratory opportunity to dress more formally on a special evening(s). For men, this includes a dark suit with tie or tuxedo; for women, this includes a formal cocktail dress, evening gown or dressy evening separates. On Black Tie Optional evenings, we request at least a jacket to be worn by men and dress, skirts or dressy slacks and blouse or sweater be worn by women. Jeans may not be worn in any dining venues or lounges, including the Casino on Black Tie Optional evenings.

  • Gratuities

With Crystal’s all-inclusive cruising, complimentary gratuities for housekeeping (Penthouse Butler, Penthouse Attendant, Stateroom Attendant and Trainee Stateroom Attendants), bar and dining staff (including specialty restaurants and in-room dining service staff) are included.

If you would like to present gratuities for other service personnel, please do so at your discretion, or if you have any questions regarding gratuities, please contact the Reception Desk on board.

Crystal Cruises suggest a 18% gratuity for Crystal Spa & Salon services, which will be automatically added to your bill and charged to your shipboard account for your convenience.

    Shipboard Accounts & Currency

With the ease of your stateroom card key, a personalized shipboard account allows you to charge everything on board.

At the beginning of the cruise, to expedite the settlement of your account, an imprint of your credit card and your signature will be taken at the Reception Desk if you have not already registered your payment information online. Your shipboard account and charges may be settled with cash, traveler’s checks, MasterCard®, VISA®, American Express®, Diners Club®, Discover Card® or JCB Card.

Personal checks (drawn on U.S. banks only) of up to $1,000 USD within a 24-hour period for a total of $4,000 USD per cruise may be cashed on board. Guests may cash traveler’s checks up to $1,000 USD within a 24-hour period. The maximum amount of traveler’s checks that can be cashed by one person is $1,000 USD times the number of days in the cruise. Credit card payments and personal checks are subject to credit clearance. In some ports, a local currency exchange service may be available on board.

Please note: If not used before the end of your cruise, some shipboard credits may not be redeemable for cash and will be forfeited.
