Tour Questions:
1.) I’ve already registered to be on the mailing list. Do I need to re-register to be on the tour?
Yes. Registering for the mailing list allowed us to send you information regarding the tour. You will need to register for the tour in order to participate. Please click here for more information.
2.) How do I know I am confirmed on the tour?
Upon completion of the registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Please note, if you do not receive a confirmation email, you have not completed the registration process. In addition to completing the registration process, Seawind must receive your initial deposit within five (5) business days.
There are two options for payment.
1.) Submitting your credit card information during the registration process. This card will be charged the initial deposit. This same card will be charged for future payments unless otherwise noted.
2.) Sending in a check. If sending in a check to Seawind Tours & Travel, Inc., please be sure payment is received within five (5) business days.

3.) How will I be kept informed regarding tour updates?
You will receive email updates to the email address submitted when registering. We also encourage you to visit the official tour website www.seawindtours.com/damien as we will keep it updated with all the current details of this once in a lifetime event.
4.) What if I decide to cancel from the tour?

5.) Is travel insurance included? Do you recommend travel insurance?
This tour does not include travel insurance.
Seawind Tours & Travel, Inc. highly recommends travel insurance. As you register, you will be given an opportunity to request additional information about travel insurance.

6.) What if I decide not to attend an activity on the tour?
You can choose not to attend an activity, but your package price will remain the same.
7.) Will the activities have a lot of walking?
Yes, some of the activities will have a lot of walking. We advise that you bring comfortable walking shoes.
8.) Can I arrive earlier to Rome or depart later?
Yes, you can, however you will need to book Tour C: Rome Land Only Package. Tour C is designed for individuals who would like to book their own air and/or deviate from the tour itinerary. We are happy to assist you with any extension planning.
9.) When is the Canonization of Father Damien?
The Canonization of Father Damien will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at St. Peter's Square in Vatican City (Rome).
Flight Questions:
1.) What airline I am confirmed on?
Seawind will advise travelers the airlines they are confirmed on as trip date nears.
2.) Will I be able to receive Frequent Flyer Miles?
Seawind will advise travelers the airlines they are confirmed on as trip date nears. At that time, travelers will also receive information regarding Frequent Flyer Miles.
3.) Can I upgrade my flight reservations?
Yes you can, however upgrades will incur additional cost and/or miles depending on availability with the airlines.
4.) Will I receive an airline ticket?
You will not receive a physical airline ticket. Tickets will be electronically issued.
5.) I live on a neighbor island. Can I join the tour?
Yes, Seawind can book your neighbor island flights to Honolulu to join with group on departure day.
6.) I live on the mainland. Can I join the tour?
Yes, we welcome you and can assist with flight reservations from your home city to and from Europe. You must meet up with the tour on group arrival and departure days.
Hotel Questions:
1.) What hotel will the group be staying at?
Seawind has secured 4 star hotels in Europe. The hotel that you will be staying at will be advised as the trip nears.
2.) How many people can share a hotel room?
The tour can accommodate up to two persons in the room in both Belgium and Italy. There is a single occupancy option at an additional cost.
3.) Can I request an accessible room?
Yes. The hotels have a limited number of accessible rooms and will be assigned on a first come basis. Seawind will do everything we can to secure accessible rooms upon request.
Passport & Visa Questions:
Yes, all international travel requires a passport. Please click here for more information.
2.) How long does my passport need to be valid?
The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the date you depart Italy. Thus, your passport should be valid at least until February 2010. Although 3 months is required, Seawind recommends your passport to be valid a minimum of 6 months past your return date.
It is, however, the responsibility of the traveler to make sure their passport is valid within the requirements of each country on the dates of travel. You can check the current status on the following website: http://travel.state.gov/
3.) Will I need a visa to enter Belgium or Italy?
U.S. citizens may enter both Belgium and Italy as a tourist with a passport up to 90 days without a visa.
4.) I am not a U.S. citizen. Will I need a visa to enter Belgium or Italy?

Miscellaneous Questions:
1.) What will the weather like in Belgium & Italy in October?
October is very mild with a high of 74 degrees and a low in the evenings of 54 degrees.
2.) What is the exchange rate that was used for the costing of the tours?
The exchange rate used was 1 Euro = 1.27 USD. The tour cost will be adjusted with the payments as they are made to vendors. This could lower the cost or increase the cost of the tours, this will be determined on the exchange rate at the time of payments.
3.) What is the currency in Belgium and Italy?
Both countries use the Euro, which fluctuates daily against the US Dollar. As of February 19, 2009 the rate of exchange was 1 Euro = 1.27 USD.
4.)What language is spoken in Belgium and Italy?
English is also widely used in both countries. In Belgium, you will also hear French, Dutch and German. In Italy, you will also hear Italian and some Latin.
5.) What is the time difference from Honolulu Belgium and Italy?
In October, Belgium and Italy are both 12 hours ahead of Hawaii Standard Time.
6.) Can I ask for a special meal on the airlines and for tour included meals?
Yes. This is only a request and subject to the specific vendors ability to honor the request. Please note: these requests can be made on the medical forms that will be available at a later date.
